Leonard Cheshire Westmead House, in Braunton, is home to 18 young disabled men and women and is run by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers. Westmead are looking for more volunteers to help them provide the quality of life that their residents deserve. If you think you can help, they would like to hear from you.

The Skinner family left North Devon nearly two years ago to care for the orphans of a disadvantaged community in Swaziland. Jon Skinner is the Principal of an existing school and is working towards opening a new school for 400 children in January '09. His wife Jude is a Community nurse in Bulembu working primarily with aids patients. Their children are carers for the younger children. You can catch up with their progress, make a donation towards their efforts or even apply to join them as a volunteer
